Twinsie Thursday: 80's Funk!

Hello fellow nail polish addicts!

Here I am again, for another Twinsie Thursday! This time we themed it 80's (or early 90's), you know, when it was weird and colourful, with horrific prints and neon and colours that just clashed. It might have sneaked its way back into fashion, albeit in a contemporary form, but I certainly saw some of its madness in the stores last summer! Summer is gone, but we celebrate it one last time with a funky 80's design, using black, white, purple and yellow. And this is my take on it!

I used Essie "Nourish Me" base coat, 2 coats of W7 "White", and then Seche Vite to speed up the drying process. I waited 15 minutes and then taped off random patches in triangle form (I should have waited 5 more minutes though), and painted them with Pieces "Dark Purple", topped off with another coat of SV. Then I repeated the process, but with Vogue "Cítrico". Then with a nail art brush and some black polish (Paris Memories 236), I added the detailed shapes. Another coat of SV, that unfortunately smeared everything, and I was done!

You can read Samantha's take on the theme here!! Enjoy her beautiful creation!

Thanks for doing this again, Samantha, it is so much fun to share this with someone on the other side of the globe :)

Zoya Zenith Collection Review & Swatches

 * The following nail polishes were sent to me for my honest review. For more information, please visit my disclosure policy.*

Hello Lacquer Lovers!
Today I have the Zoya Zenith Collection to review for y'all! I really liked this collection and I hope you will feel the same!

All photos were taken in natural light.

 Zoya Payton

Payton is a beautiful cranberry holo.
Application was flawless and it was opaque in 2 coats!

Zoya Dream

Dream is a dream! It is the perfect blue holo! It's not light blue, but it's not navy. It's in the middle, which is the perfect blue.
Application was great and it was opaque in 2 coats.

Zoya Mosheen

Mosheen is the glitter topper of this collection. It has both bar glitter and circle glitter.
Application was normal and you only need 1 coat.

Shown over Zoya Belinda.

Zoya Belinda

Belinda is a deep purple metallic polish.
Application was great and it was opaque in 2 coats.

Zoya Seraphina

Seraphina is a silverish-white metallic polish, but it seemed more like a shimmer to me.
Application was okay. I used 2 coats, but there still was some VNL.

Zoya Cassedy

Cassedy is a pewter metallic polish.
The application was okay. Here I used 2 coats.

Overall, I was impressed with this collection. Payton and Dream are my favorite, but I'm also loving Belinda.

I'll be back Thursday! Until next time! <3

Daphine Polish Sparkling Waters & The Fashion Club

*The following nail polishes were sent to me for my honest review. For more information, please visit my disclosure policy.*

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

Today I have two polishes that the wonderful Joanne at Daphine Polish has sent me to review: Sparkling Waters and The Fashion Club!

I'll start off saying a few things before we begin! All photos were taken in natural sunlight and both polishes are top coated.
You can find all of Daphine Polish's links at the end of the review!

First, lets start off with my favorite polish Sparkling Waters!

Sparkling Waters is described as "blue and holographic glitters in a clear base with holographic sparkle".
One thing is for sure! This polish is gorgeous in the sunlight!

I layered one coat of Sparkling Water over two coats of Zoya Sailor, which I reviewed in an earlier post! It was an absolute dream to apply!

Overall I love this polish! It had a great application and super fast dry time. The large glitters were well dispersed through the polish and I had to do minimal fishing for the large glitters. I
only had to fish for one large glitter, which is pretty awesome seeing I never have good luck with large glitter in any brand! I would definitely recommend this polish to all glitter lovers!

On to the next pretty: The Fashion Club!

The Fashion Club is described as a "pink jelly polish with matte black and purple star glitter, various shapes and sizes of white glitters, and iridescent sparkle".
Jelly is definitely the word for this beauty! I'm not one to go for jellies, but I'm loving this one!

I applied three average coats and 1 thin coat. There still is some VNL (visible nail line), but that is what is expected. This can easily be fixed by using a base color. The application was flawless!

I really liked this polish! It was the perfect jelly: not too sheer, but not too opaque. The application was great and the dry time was amazing! Again, the glitter was evenly dispersed throughout the base. I had to do a little but of fishing for the stars. Overall I was very impressed!

These polishes retail for $10.00USD.

You can find Daphine Polish in many places!
Go show Joanne some love!

I don't know how many more times I can say it, but I LOVED THESE POLISHES! Daphine Polish is definitely near the top of my indie list!
I hope you enjoyed this post! I'll see you all next week! <3

Hello Lacquer Lovers!

I know, it has been a while since I last blogged. I thought that I would let you know that I am here to stay, so unless something drastic happens I'll be posting once or twice a week! Also, I would like to thank everyone who messaged me over my hiatus. It means a lot to me! <3

Today I have three polishes from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer's collection Once More with Feeling, which is based off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
