Essie 'Matte About You' VS. NYC 'Matte Me Crazy'

Here is one of my more in-depth reviews from Facebook. I learned a lot during this post. Take a peek!

Jan. 7, 2012

"Matte: lacking or deprived of luster or gloss; having a usually smooth even surface free from shine or highlights (merriam-webster.com/dictionary/matte)."

The review and pictures are after the jump!

China Glaze 'With Love' & 'Make a Spectacle'

Here is an oldie, but a goodie, from Facebook!

Jan. 5, 2012

As you can see from the picture below China Glaze With Love is a gorgeous red color. It was easy to apply and was opaque in two thin coats. The dry time was definitely something I want to see from other nail polishes. Each coat was dry in about four minutes flat, which is impressive considering it was not a fast dry nail polish. I was not as happy with China Glaze Make A Spectacle. In the bottle Make A Spectacle seems like a white glitter topcoat with a few silver tinted glitter. As I applied it on the nail I found that it really is not what it seems. Make A Spectacle layered over With Love left me with a gold accent nail, which is not what I intended. At first I thought it may have been my lighting, but after using many different lights, it still came out as a gold finish. This manicure, in my opinion, would be good for either before the holidays or sometime there after. To me it just doesn't look right for January. I plan on wearing this color combo again, but I think I will wait until the holiday season comes around again.

Orly 'Miss Conduct'

Here is one of my most favorite nail polishes I reviewed on my Facebook page!

Dec. 30, 2012

A few days ago I picked up this beauty at a Sally Beauty Supply store. They had two bottles, so after hearing all of the great things about it I decided to grab them. I'm sure glad I did! Miss Conduct is a gorgeous hot pink holographic polish. It was opaque in two coats and after I topped it with my base coat I was done! Miss Conduct had great dry time (5-8 minutes depending on thickness). This polish would also be great as undies for any glitter polish or nail art. I can't wait to see what ideas I can come up with to use this polish for! Orly gets an A+ on this one!

Enchanted Polish 'Finger Lickin' Good' & China Glaze 'Roguish Red'

This was my first ever review on my Facebook page. There is only one picture this time, but trust me, the pictures tend to multiply in my future posts!

Dec. 29, 2012

These two polishes are like soul mates. They mesh well together. I was very impressed with China Glaze. Their polish had a good dry time and was very opaque. Here I used two coats. I was not as impressed with Enchanted Polish. The formula to "Finger Lickin' Good" seemed very thick and needed more dry time than usual. Here I used two coats. Besides that "Finger Lickin' Good" is a beautiful polish packed with glitter! This combo is perfect for the end of summer or beginning of fall.

I will be back tomorrow with another review! Enjoy!
